It is a pleasure to have Ross Watch consult to Trinity Law. Ross has been practising property law and conveyancing in the ACT for over 40 years. He has been a partner in a number of national law firms and has developed a loyal and diverse client base over that time.
Ross was Chairman of the ACT Law Society Property Law Committee for many years and in that role made a significant contribution to the reform of conveyancing laws and practise in the ACT. This involved extensive consultation and cooperation with Government to achieve a balanced and practical outcome.
He has acted for major developers in significant residential unit developments in Canberra and has also served as a member of the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal and as a member of the Law Society Professional Conduct Board. He also provides legal advice in relation to Unit Title disputes.
Ross also taught Real Estate Practise at the Australian National University Legal Workshop for a number of years and has presented many seminars to other lawyers and professional groups.
He also likes to foster the use of “Plain English”. No “hereinbefores” or “please find enclosed herewith” from him!
For a number of years Ross was a member of Belconnen Rotary Club (including a year as President) and was President and a member of the Council of Canberra Youth Music. When not at work Ross enjoys travel and fine wine (together if possible!), collecting oriental rugs and gardening.
